PROJECT MANAGERS
Description:
The Project Manager's role is to manage an entire project or multiple projects. The PM will:
- Schedule and coordinate all design and construction processes.
- Coordinate and supervise the construction process from the conceptual development stage through final construction.
- Ensure that the project completes on time and within budget.
- Work with owners, engineers, architects, and others who are involved in the construction process.
- Oversee the planning, budgeting, buyout, and scheduling.
- Be responsible for implementation of design (if applicable) to complete the project.
- Assume all other typical responsibilities related to the management and oversight of construction projects.
Education:
- Four year degree in Construction Management or Engineering.
Experience:
- Federal Government contract experience required.
- Minimum of 5 years experience working on contracts with the U.S. Corps of Engineers.
- Must have the ability to run multiple projects concurrently.
SUPERINTENDENTS
Description:
The Superintendent's role is to supervise an entire project or a portion of a project. The Superintendent will:
- Coordinate and supervise the construction process from the conceptual development stage through final construction.
- Ensure that the project gets done on time and within budget.
- Work with owners, engineers, architects, and others who are involved in the construction process to oversee the planning, scheduling, and implementation of designs to complete to project.

- Review schedule weekly to ensure that construction is completed according to schedule.
- Distribute "Two Week Look Ahead" Schedules to subcontractors.
- Work with all parties including Project Managers, Engineers, Architects, Laborers and others who are involved in the construction process.
- Determine the best way to get materials to the building site and the most cost-effective plan and schedule for completing the project.
- Conduct weekly meetings with subcontractors.
- Divide all required construction site activities into logical steps, budgeting the time required to meet established deadlines. This may require sophisticated estimating and scheduling techniques and use of computers with specialized software.
- Determine the labor requirements and, in some cases, supervise or monitor the hiring and dismissal of workers.
- Oversee the performance of all subcontractors and will be responsible for ensuring that all work is completed on schedule.
- Oversee the delivery and use of materials, tools, and equipment; worker productivity and safety; and the quality of construction.
- Responsible for obtaining all necessary permits and monitor compliance with building and safety codes, other regulations, and requirements.
- Acting as laborer with crew in carpentry, cleanliness, safety, and other general construction trades.
- May be required to fulfill site safety officer role.
- All other duties as required.
Education and Experience:
- BBA / BS/AA/AS Degree or equivalent work experience.
- Current First Aid and CPR certifications.
- 30 hour OSHA certification.
- Scheduling experience.
- Competent in M.S. Office.
- Must have 5 Plus years experience as a Superintendent role for a federal government construction project preferably with U. S. Corps of Engineers experience.
